WOW, that thing was rotten to start with, came out beautiful though, mine wasn't as rusty, just dirty.

Thanks for the memories! Great job, makes me wish I still had my 70 XR7 Rag top! Keep up the good work and always keep the family involved. In Christ Dan

Oh yeah, good stories. I just went to my 20th reunion recently and reconnected with my old hs gf. She was so excited that I still had the Cougar! It was totally worth keeping it all of these years. :) Thanks again bro. When i'm done with mine i'll post video here too.

AWESome!! Dude, you are my hero. I've got a '69 Cougar 351-4v hardtop I need to restore, bought it in 1985 when I was 16, working min. wage. You've inspired me!

That's what this hobby's all about... passion for the cars and the stories behind them! I drive my cat all the time... let's keep 'em on the road!!! Jeff

@1restoration Hey Jeff, do you recommend replacing the pistons when rebuilding the motor? I wouldnt think they'd wear out, but unless you want higher performance, is there a "fatigue" reason for replacing them? Thanks!

@Minuteman351
I would always recommend changing to a forged piston instead of the original cast ones. But.....It always comes back to how are you going to drive the car when you are done? Drag racing, daily driver, hobby etc...
