From our Rockstar Studio this is Tony T and now its time for College Football coverage with a lighter touch of Vegas. Its our Chick Pick Segment. We now welcome to Gamblers Television with her Chick Pick Tricia Regan. Hello Tricia.
Tricia: Hi Tony and Hey everyone
Tony: Tricia, what did you think of USCs win last week? I know they pounded ASU last week but the second half was tough to watch. Something just doesnt seem right about the Trojans right now.
Tricia: Ya, I have to agree. It seems like no one is stepping up as a leader and the players are playing for their stats versus playing for their team. I think they have the talent to be the best team in the country, but they just have to start playing better together.
Tony: OK now its time for Tricias Chick Pick. Lets pick the big game from the Pac 10. California Golden Bears are at the Arizona Wildcats with Cal a 2-½ point favorite. Its the late night game at 10PM Eastern with regional coverage by FSN. Tricia, how do you see it?
Tricia: Alright, Im going to take Cal at minus 2 1/2 points over Arizona. This week, Cal is returning 2 familiar faces to their lineup. The first is veteran quarterback Nate Longshore whos going to be starting against Arizona. After struggling offensively the past 2 games, the Bears are hoping that Longshore will be able to lead the team with his veteran play. Cal hopes to also have starting runningback, Jahvid Best, return after an injury to his left elbow. With these 2 dynamic players returning to the lineup, and with Cal coming off a by week- with almost 2 weeks to prepare for the Wildcats, I have total faith that the Bears will cover the minus 2 1/2 point spread.
Tony: You think so. I have to respectfully disagree. Do you know that Cal is 1-5 in their past 6 road games.
Tricia: Yes, but 4 of those 5 losses were from 2007. I think especially in college football, teams can change dramatically from one year to the next. So far THIS YEAR, Cal has only had 1 road loss.
Tony: Plus U of As head coach Mike Stoops is on the hot seat. He must make a bowl game to save his job and this game will go a long way to help securing a bowl berth. And the Cats are tough at home.
Tricia: The Cats may appear tough at home, but with opponents like Idaho, Toledo, and Washington, who wouldnt look tough. And, I have a good feeling that Cal isnt too interested in the future of Stoops career.
Tony: OK Tricia Regan says take the Cal Golden Bears and lay the 2 ½ points against the Arizona Wildcats. Thank You Tricia its always good to see you and to have you on the set of Gamblers Television.
Tricia: Thank you Tony and good luck to all the viewers this week.
Tony T: That will do it for now. This is Tony T with Tricia Regan from our Rockstar Studio reminding you
