In the month of April 2009, Nick took a road trip to Northern California to rediscover his past nearly 18 years later. Thanks to the conversation he had earlier in the year with his good friend Gomez. To those who watch this Video I hope you experience a flood of good memories. I dedicate this Video in MEMORY of Joseph Alvarez Jr. "Sunrise" March 8, 1966 "Sunset" May 18, 1992 SPC. U.S. ARMY

  • Very classy! It was like i was there all over again. I loved the music. who was that?

  • Hey Franky, thanks for your comment, I"m glad you enjoyed the Video. I was stationed at Ft. Ord from Summer of 1989- July 1991. It's sad, what's become of Ft. Ord, you would think it would of been here to stay. A lot of great memories from that area. the music was from "The Calling" Carlos Santana & Eric Clapton check out his stuff on YouTube.

  • @Alvarez19D81 Probably so... I guess back then I was either a PFC or SP4 depending on the time frame.. I made Sgt right before I left for Korea in 87. I was in C troop, one of the AH-1 crewchiefs. Last name is Peck. So were you one of the scouts who had those cool dirt bikes with camouflage? I remember telling someone the other day that our dayroom had a soda machine that dispensed cans of beer back then, they couldn't believe that..hahah. We played pool if we weren't in Carmel

Spent the days out the back gate at the airfield but spent much time roaming the base too... Carmel and Monterey, who could forget. And Santa Cruz Boardwalk, when they filmed Lost Boys... awesome. Thanks for this trip down memory lane.
