@Assimandelini Yes, I agree, concerning other Current 93 tracks. I also don't believe in god; I only believe in the law of nature and my own mental strength. I also like the music of Current 93 really very much, although I prefer the stuff from Douglas Pierce a bit more. I don't care about people who dislike music which I love - to discuss with them is just a waste of precious lifetime; in general, in my eyes, fanatic religious people are a plague for mankind - which should be always avoided.

I do agree that this song was, but you can hear that Tibet honestly believes in god in some of his other tracks. I don't believe in God myself, but I still like Current 93 and Tibet, because as long as the music and the lyrics are good I don't care what the songwriter believes in.

It generally makes me kinda sad to see some people dissing bands simply if they have some songs about religion :/

@Assimandelini I'm not sure if Tibet really wasn't ironical in that interview, too... (remember his project "Christ 777"). By the way, those genius characters like Tibet, Pierce, Boyd Rice or A.Bergamini aren't so easy to put in any kind of patterns. So, for an example, Boyd Rice is a member of the so called "Church of Satan", but he himself doesn't believe in satan - that's somehow very funny. Concerning this track here, I believe, it is just (a very good) parody of old christian teachings.

Tibet himself however is christian and believes in God.

He actually once mentioned in an interview that he finds it weird how people still think his lyrics are "ironical". So I'm not sure about the message he's trying to make here... though the dungeons and dragons line is too silly to be taken seriously

Superb and wonderful cynic track from Current 93! ...since ages the catholic church tries to make people obey and fear with those silly and childish stories of heaven and hell...
