I don't know his history beside he was in jail with Rafsanjani, Khamenei, and other that alone makes him worth hearing even if he were a communist which when young one can seem great but thats why Ideas and reality are two totally different things. BTW Socialism is not communism and believing in social and economic equality is something as a catholic I can say marxist got right. My hope is their can be evolution in Iran to a more open society and do the peoples will.

This is not history. It's negationism. A little background: Abbas Milani is a former leftist Commie who was jailed by the U.S.-backed Shah. The Hoover Institution is a right-wing think tank supported by the likes of foreign policy hawks Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld and Ed Meese (of Iran-Contra fame). Consider the source.

Sanctions are working, there is another thing that is working; the internet! Get in touch with as many Iranians as you can and communicate with them and spread this vid. Jimmy , the peanut, Carter is clearly the idiot of the century, his argument was " it is the will of the people " and " its their democratic right " !

@MultiUniv3rsal Oh I get it. I get it. It's not the United States' fault or the CIA's fault for the Iranian Revolution but JIMMY CARTER's fault. Once again right wing apologists attempt to pass the blame for blowback resulting from policies they supported onto a democratic president.

Milani is obviously intelligent but fails to dispel the "myth" of the "American Satan" - he freely admits the US's involvement at the behest of the British - yet places the blame at Carter's feet. Shameless.
