Wonderful moment. Barnsley forever

'97?? Looks like '87 judging by some of the clothes in the crowd. Loving the dude with the cig.
You reds!

That's gotta be the best feeling i've had in my 20 yrs as a reds fan and theres been some good uns. Fuckin mint. Pure quality. Talk about raw emotion when we knew we were up after Marcelle scored. If we one day do get back to Premiership it'll never surpass that extraordinary feeling us true fans experienced that amazing afternoon. Fuckin magic.

Dennis has not been involved for about 7 years , so maybe it you that should get down to Oakwell again. Just how many 7-0 results were there then?.Bet you cany find more than 1.a couple of other big scores against, but some bloody good results too.
Just so that you know, Patrick Cryne is now the Owner and Simon Davey is the manager. Nothing to do with Ridsdale.

Perhaps you should get out more then, as what i say is quite accurate. Our spell in the top flight was nothing more than a joke with 7-0 defeats on an almost weekly basis. When Danny Wilson left John got what he was happy with - a mediocre club, again. I note we just missed relegation this season. Again. Even Ridsdale could save us from sinking.

You are the most stupid person I have ever read comments from!!!!
Dennis was the happiest man alive when Barnsley got promoted, you numpty.

My first ever game

Great memories. I remember John Dennis turning white at the realisation that we had gone up. He was terrified, and was the architect of a concerted effort to get us back down again - and quick. The man was only happy when we were playing the likes of Torquay on a damp tuesday night.

Was working at Tesco in Stairfoot, one of the butchers shouts out across the shop floor "WE'RE UP!!!!" Mint.

Marcelle was a good find. Trinidad has had some decent players from time to time.
when the crowd roars is sends a shiver down my back, wat a fuckin game.

still brings a lump to the throat when i see this, all those years of the begrudgers saying we didn't want to go up. It was so tense 2nd half even though we were 1 up, the joy when this hit the back of the net and the realisation dawning on me 2 seconds later that we were going up was amazing and pure ecstasy. Thanks for posting this mate.
