Discovery Channel Special! Mother and son cross on a wire the two towers of Conrad Condado Plaza Hotel & Casino where Karl Wallenda's last performance ended in a tragedy. Karl Wallenda died on March 22, 1978 crossing the same path as seen here.

@theflyingmonkey145 I have read that the Wallenda family says it was not the wind that caused Karl's fall, it was that the wire wasn't taut enough.

This is it? This is the "footage"? This death defying feat that took his great grandfathers life is recorded by nothing more than an amateur video in (what sounds to be) a crowded restaurant? In 1978 his great grandfather had TV cameras there yet in 2011 this is the only video available? Not really making good use of the available resources, i'd say.

@kneedragger29 I understand your point, but I just happened to be there and decided to film it. There were numerous news stations filming also. But I did notice that who has all the rights for this is the Discovery Channel. They will be presenting the whole thing on June 22 if I am not mistaken. So, this video just happens to be a little input I had and decided to share! :)
