Ok so your not sorry that inocent people were killed in this bombing. I think think thouse statistics are just a little too close to argue majoritys here 80, 000 people died in the explosion, a further 60, 000 died afterward. Japan could only go on fighting for another year, many people were already dieing from lack of food. The bomb was over kill, especially considering Japan weekness.

er... Your talking of the Japanese as a collective term, yes they did but do you think that everyone who died in Hiroshima did. Lots of these people were women and children, they did nothing.

ok that's what i'm talking about. the japanese did way worse to other women and children who did nothing. the atomic bombing of hiroshima was the ultimate "what goes around, comes around" example.

Yes but your still talking about the Japanese as a collective term, an eye for an eye is never a good thing. Just because Japanese soldiers killed a whole bunch of people, especialy Chinese. Does not mean Hiroshima and Nagasaki was the right way to stop them, especially when there are non military that got caught in the blast too. An remember this was not quick death, remember poor little Sadako :( and not the one from Ringu Warai :D!

This video was really deep and touching but....this world will never be at peace in fact there is a big war coming sooner or later. Japanese did do some horrible things to their citizens before the bombing I just hope now they don't. Never been to japan but god I would love to.

I won't demand apology from USA for atomic-bombing to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.I'm not interested in politics.But,They should know more about cruelty of nukes.Nukes means "NOTHING" or "ZERO".

If you look at statistics and the amount of destructon the A-Bomb was the better option. If the United States and Allied forces, including England and Russia invaded mainland Japan more civilians would have been killed in the long run as well as unacceptable military personnel casualties. Japan would have fought to the bitter end without surrendering.

I just went to Japan in late July and early August of this year (2006). I visited many places, including Hiroshima, which was obviously a "must visit" place. I also stayed with a Japanese family for a few days. I love the Japanese and may I point out that they are the nicest and most generous group of people that I have ever met. But the atomic bombing IMO was necessary. It was a totally different world over 60 years ago.

Really, I'm very impressed.. great video. When I was there I found it very difficult.. well.. I just found it very moving.

Other people have been posting here about all the bad things the Japanese have done in the past. Many Nations have done bad things..

I'm just talking about how I felt while I was there.
