  • @Splooshiba oooh ok :)

  • @Crysis2ful bios

  • @maximilli111 i5 6** are dual, i5 7** are quad

  • you sweat a lot? whats with the sweat band?

  • i have the core i7 970 quad core 8 thread 2.93 ghz processor for my next project

  • To be honest, I don't think that you're going to see much difference between an i7 and a i5 750 based on the added hyperthreading technology; rather, just the core clocks. This is because games don't make use of hyperthreading that i7's provide. the only reason that a core i7 860 would beat a core i5 750 is due to the i7 having a higher clock set than the i5. If an i5 were to be overclocked, it could easily beat an i7 in gaming performance (vice a versa aswell, as an i7 can be overclocked too

  • @Crysis2ful If you run a program that doesn't take hold of all four cores at once and is only a dual core program, the 2 cores will self-overclock to 3.2. I would run a cpu intensive game or software (like an MMO) in windowed mode and see if I am getting the 3.2. You should see the clocks raise in cpuid or whatever you use.

  • @keiki646 i know beacuse i got intel i5 750... yes, is gamer friendly and is good for gaming.

  • @1mper1alGuardsMen the i7 930 is a better price to performance ratio. I'd gladly pay $400 less for a 15% performance loss. that money can get an entire graphics card. SLI or CROSSFIRE will definitely make up for that 15% loss and then some
