That lamb represented to death of Jesus. Cains offering represented the works of his hands. Christ's death versus Our works. Adam and Eve tried to cover their nakedness with fig leaves. How many times do religious people try to cover themselves with religion. God sacrificed a lamb and made them clothes from the flesh of that lamb. The lamb sacrificed from the foundation of the world. Our works are not good enough.

@texasauthor1 Possibly the offering of Cain was not the best of his produce. Abel gave the firstfruits of his flock, but Cain might have been selfish with his. Just a thought.

If you read in the book of Jasher, Lamech tells the story of the two men he killed, and one of those men was Cain but it was an accident. Lamech shot something from afair and it ended up hitting Cain and killing him. That's when he told his wife and said how much God would punish him for having killed a man because he had just accidentally killed Cain. Lamech didn't "murder" on purpose.

God always explains exactly what his requirements are but man always twists things a little bit to fit his own desires. Cain tried to come to God with his own rules and regulations. Doesn't work. I believe the mark was rejection. most murderers have it pretty hard in society.

The mark is a curse of Leprosy (albinism). We are the descendants of Cain.

Was it in Eziekiel of Issaha (sorry for spelling) That sujested that the lord was thy brothers keeper. (Pulp Fiction the movie.) Either Cain is bad or he isn't, and if he is he's still you lord.

Cain's offering was a sheaf of the worst of his corn, but Abel's a fat lamb of the best of his flock.
Corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.
Meaning if Abel didn't die by the hand of Cain human-kind will not be the same. So cain killed more then one person and change many things.

it wasn't just any ole sheep! it was the fat one! the best one, the one that was hard to part from! which meant it was meaningful in sacrifice to able, and that pleased god. 2nd. blood was spilled. the wages of sin is death. death meant spilled blood, meaningful blood. scacrificial blood wich is the cost of sin. cain gave his best veggies, but they were not meaningful in cost to cain. thats why the arguement came up. so cain spilled abels blood as a sacrifice in defiance and arrogance.

Abel's offering was sacrifice... Cain's was only thanksgiving. That's the explanation I was ginven anyways. To me it makes sense.
you can definately see a generational curse pattern here...some curses can be up to 10 generations

I think there is a pattern there, too. Thanks for posting, Jay!
