No matter how good a falsehood may make you feel, no matter how scary or depressing the truth may be, the truth is always better, because then you can actually help yourself or someone else for real, not just peddle feel-good nonsense.

A hug from anyone is good, but to prioritize it to this particular individual and call her a "saint" for it is nonsensical and smacks of the kind of magical thinking that has kept charlatans and con men in business ever since the first time someone convinced someone else that they could somehow better themselves without actually having to do anything.
