Try to find to quak to walk by Delta Flood ot of Inuvik, It is a cool song and has the Inuvialuit word for frozen fish in the title. My son has a Jon boat like that 18' with a 40 yamaha jet. It may be a little under powered its pretty slow, but he loves especially in the shallow rivers near the coast.

Doesnt the hull of your boat start to get thin after grinding on rocks all the time since the extreme shallows dont have the protective hull like the extreme duty?Let me know im interested.

I don't grind rocks much. If I did, then yes it would do tremendous damage to the hull. The XS is NOT a tough hull. The structure is pretty crappy. For example, only welded on the inside and the internal structure (verticle ribs) aren't even welded to the sides. I was told that it is done that way for the 'preflex' design but I think it is just to save time and make the boat look better from the outside (no weld lines visible) The XS is not a rock basher. It will run shallow though
