Envy and jealousy will have one measuring themself to others. This action will never bring about a 'win' because there is always someone wealthier, smarter or better in some way. Envy and jealousy makes others into idols, gods and keeps some one from being pleased in life, keeping them from having faith in God's timing. They divide and take apart, destroy relationships, particularly families and produce rivalry, conflict and friction; but the devil is a liar.

Denial wants to steal the truths of God's love, acknowledgment and acceptance. In all fairness, we all have come to know the deep hurt of rejection because we long for love and acceptance. The effects of agreeing with rejection can be physically and physiologically demoralizing.

Rejection signify that a person is intolerable in some way or of little or no value, doesn't belong, is unwelcome, uninvited, even discarded and can't fit in. Rejection can be communicated through disgust, disdain, impatience, neglect, through rejection or silence. Rejection is revealed through behavior and the power of words that hurt. Rejection is promoted through conditional love.
