@AndyCrystalOfficial 1st of all, This WAS my lesson. He is repeating something he taught me over and over again in different speeds. This is not a performance style display. Maybe you wanted to see the other half of the lesson instead... me struggling to play it?? 2nd, I already broke down the theme for everyone, because someone politely requested it. Check down below. I'm not a pro..but I play dhere dhere with my palm....si that wrong? I have huge hands...I know that is slows me down a bit.

From what I understand, Pradipji's playing of Dhere Dhere is somewhat unorthodox. Most tabla players play dhere dhere as you say, with the palm, and with the tips of the fingers going just slightly off the pudi. It is similar to playing Tira, except moved forward. I would recommend playing it how you learned it. It's a tough bol and slows me down also, but as they say, with riyaz it will come.

Sure. The variations in this video are based on:
Dhere Dhere Kita Taka
Dha- Tira Kita Taka
Dhin- Na- Kita Taka
Dha-Tira Kita Taka
Pradipji also reminds his students that it is not only which bols to practice, but to practice always focusing on CLARITY OVER SPEED, and always to practice using extra pressure in your bol execution.
