The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship Of The Ring - CAR IN BACKGROUND - Theatrical Screener DVD

recommend watching in "720p". OK, starts with scare crow, then cuts to the wide shot: at this point on the right of the screen, almost directly above the smoke that's is pretty noticeable (i believe from a chimney), you can see the cars windshield reflect the sun. you see it moving starting in the trees on top of the hill, and moving right to left. after this the scene cuts back in, and then out again. then directly left and slightly above that same obvious smoke on the right, you can see a light trail of dust, moving from right to left, as the car has moved further down the road.

Watch above the smoke in the top right hand side of the screen [the smoke is just smoke,not dust ect] and you will see a fast moving speck along the top of the hill also look for sunlight reflecting off of the wind shield.

keep in mind, you CANNOT see this on the dvd or blu-ray version. this was only viewable in the theater, as they edited it out afterward. this is taken from a "screener" dvd that was created before it was in theaters.

@penniesarcadia yeh I see it, but I still dont think it is that noticable, though I was 13 when I first saw this, I watched it on DVD many times but I guess I was always focused on what is, frankly, a beautiful scene!

@BiffaTW It was pretty noticeable in the cinema. I remember spotting it (well, okay, after several times watching...). But definitely a white car. It's not the car that causes the smoke, btw, but it does leave a dust trail.

Ive been aware of that smoke from the first time I saw the movie and just assumed it war a fire or worse a tractor; and so can believe P.J when he says he doesnt think there is but either way it's difficult to tell, people might be seeing somthing that wasnt there, in this case a 'car'.
