It has nothing to do with racism. Disney is trying to accurately portray how people talk in that area of the country where Dumbo took place.

God, it's a fucking kids movie. Why the hell does racism have to come into it? I'm so sick of all that shit.

Now I've been around my fair share of black people. In fact, I'm willing to pass some of it around if I have to, but I have NEVER heard anyone sound like this! Maybe it's because I live up North, that's likely the case.

Before the start of this song, the mouse and the elephant wake up in a tree, surrounding by talking crows. If my memory serves, the mouse says "what are you all doing down here?" and the crows reply "No, what are you doing up HERE?" .... I remember hearing someone mention that that's an actual reference to different areas of new york city, as per more white or black parts.

That reeks of an urban legend. My BS detector is going off.

welll, it's not really how they are singing that's racist, it's how they look. The crows look like black-face characters with their black "skin", bright eyes, and colorful "mouths". But it was just the sign of the times and I honestly don't know anyone who even knows what a black-face character is now-a-days. Anyway certainly nothing flip-out about now, there is wwaay more worst stereotypes of black people than this. (I hope BET burns in hell)
