i live in a small city call bendigo of 100,000 people on black staurday two ratty little pricks lit a fire on the edge of town that destroyed over 50 homes, a couple hundred out building like sheds ect. killed a man and made it to within a killometer of the cbd before the firecrews managed to stop it, we were lucky alot of our trucks were away but others were passing through town. the two teens who lit this were chardged with over 300 crimes between them.

i personally think this is worse than the 9/11 americans they lost their family came back to a nbice warm hgome we lost our mates or familys and fled the fires to get tyo saftey to return to rubble 3.4 billion worth of damage in homes i think even though some of us aussies dont have homes we still have our aussie pride to get us through the night

cotton rudd!! the earwax eater!!
Years of drought conditions, a recent heatwave of consecutive temperatures over 40°C, the hottest day on record for Melbourne (46.7°C / 116°F) and even hotter elsewhere in Victoria, strong winds, lightning strikes, flying embers and finally arsonists, all attributed to the firestorm! Those caught up in it didn't stand a chance and my heart truly breaks when I see the images of the burned-out cars on the roads of the people who were trying to escape and who just couldn't make it!

Don't like Rudd, but his expression of real empathy, was a refreshing change from his usual pompous, practitioner of spin.
