  • Beautiful. Long live the Stars of Faith!

  • @dimomoda7 Aunt Esther Ford

  • Thanks for posting..This song has a very dark, moody feel to it, similar to Mahalia's City Called Heaven song that somebody else posted here on YouTube..at least, to my ears.

  • anyway marion williams is the only one; je suis français et j'écoute marion williams tous les jours, c'est une des plus grande voix de ce siècle; il est regrettable qu'elle se soit cantonnée au gospel .

  • This was the first recording done by the Stars after leaving the Ward Singers.Frances Steadman and Esther Ford were the lead singers but Marion added her adlibs as only she could do.The only survivor of this group is"Lady" Esther Ford who is yet alive and well and still singing with the same clarity.

  • above comment made in reference to the $ issues in Gospel's golden era (ie the G. Ward under paying the other singers).

  • Kitty was a soprano, but she wasn't one of the "soaring" ones like Carrie Williams, Marion Williams, Mildred Means, or Agnes Jackson.

  • What about Kitty?
