L.A Noire uses Global Illumination technology, looks great.

@OpensourceObscure Got GI working now, only had to update my driver... =)

@MatheusMK3 I use a GeForce GTX 260 - I always suggest to choose Nvidia for Second Life when possible. ATI cards may be a better overall choice if you also use videogames, but if the only 3D software you use is Second Life, I'd say go with Nvidia.

@OpensourceObscure What is your GPU??? I'm on lastest Kirstens (S20-40) and I can't enable GI yet.
Radeon HD5550

@OpensourceObscure yes, like in the normal viewer that also support shadows and GI. but i mean "oficially" and not in debug option. i think is time to set all these features available for alls.
anyways i cant use it, my GPU nvidia 6600gt dont support geometrical shaders D:

@kitsune0video these features ARE already in the SL2 official viewer :-)
If your hardware supports them, you can enable them, as explained in my tutorial.

@OpensourceObscure Is this feature experimental. My computer gets unreasonably loud when turning this feature on.

@TheSleazySaint Yes, still experimental as in "not officially supported". Linden Lab improved it since I made this video. It MAY be that they release it officially when they release Meshed, later this year.
About noise, I suppose it comes from CPU and/or graphic card fans. That'd be OK.
This feature is probably the most computing-expensive in the SL viewer. Your pc works MUCH harder when you enable Global Illumination, it produces more heat, and the fans need to run faster, making more noise.
