Keep an eye out for selling information for this puzzle.

The puzzle was made from a Rubik's 4x4. All the pieces were capped with ABS plastic and the extensions were hand made with ABS. All of the stickers were machine cut using Oracal and Arlon Vinyl.

The last picture is taken with a Rubik's 4x4 for size comparison.

  • Why did you make this with a Rubik's brand 4x4? Why not with a Maru, or a Dayan or even an eastsheen? Is it because you cant cut them as deep as the Rubik's brand?

  • @SilentEliminator

I had a rubik's brand in my puzzle building closet. With Rubik's you can cut deeper in to the centers than a Maru. Also Maru is a pain in the butt to reassemble compared to a Rubik's. I really don't like using Eastsheen, but that is a personal opinion. I like Rubik's because the pieces are stronger on a 4x4. I a have not had a Dayan before.

  • do the layers really need to be aligned that perfectly, or are you doing it so there isn't any clicking or popping when turning it?

  • @asportkingSoF

It helps to have perfectly aligned since the pieces are not square like a regular cube, but they don't have to be perfect. I usually go slow when turning because I don't want to lose my spot when I am looking back and forth between the camera screen and the puzzle.

  • Where can I purchase one???

  • @mikerush

Will be up on ebay soon. Most likely as a Buy It Now listing. Thanks for your question.

  • A better 4x4 for you to use for mods would be a qj as it is identical to a rubiks but much better turning and no pops

  • @cooldayr
