The drums are quite weird, of course, compared to the album version.

that's interesting that u noticed that....the who have been doing stuff like this for a long time...i've been working on the guitar part for a live version of naked eye and pete's timing is all over the place...that's what made the Who great..warts and all

    - I think you have to take into account that the band was learning the songs in front of the audience in a grand experiment calleg "life house" where the band and the people became one pure note of energy or some such hippie dribble. Anyway point being they were putting the newly penned songs thru their paces and finding their legs. BTW I had Who's Missing on record and that version of Bargain was amazing with high energy and I believe it was 72 on tour so its more sure footed.

This is great sound quality, CowPalace. You have to love the Who, but they would not have made it as session musicians. The song starts out too fast, slows down at 0:34, speeds up, slows down at 1:00, and slows down again at 2:54. I heard a great live version of Bargain on one of their compilation CDs called "Who's Missing." I'm not sure what concert it is from.

love Ox singing the synth part....For the most part I hated the synths and the overdubbed parts that made Moonie wear headphones.

@Rattshewantsmoney i don't mean as a full member just as a road player to help cover Jimmy's overdubbs,

look at Jimmy w/ the black crowes on a tune like 10 yrs gone, musically it was awesome, whether or not you liked the lead vocals, which was debatable...having 3 gtrs covering those layered guitar harmonies makes the tune, it always sounded sparse when LZ did it live..
