what about intarsia or fair isle knitting does the machine do that? amazing though.. i have often thought about teaching my boyfriend to knit so he could do the bitch work and sew in ends....is the machine worth the cost?

Yes, this machine can do intansia and fair isle knitting and does it beautifully :-) There is an intarsia carriage available for this unit but it can be done without it just fine. Fairisle knitting is done with the use of punch cards and there is a great variety of those available or you can make your own. To me the knitting machine worth it's cost many times, since I do all sort of knitting including lace with this unit. Thank you for your question, Lena.
