    If that is just one person, imagine how much water an entire household or family of 4 could save just by changing their water usage.

    Another great way to conserve water: Use a water tank to store water for cleaning, gardening, drinking, etc- or look into rainwater harvesting....

    Grey water is good for your garden (water from dish-washing, showers, clothes-washing, baths, car-washing, house-cleaning) don't throw away your grey water and use new water to water your flowers.

    Here (in the Philippines) our household water is from a well, and a good proportion of the public electricity is hydroelectricity. Quite effective really - the further down the well the water is, the further you need to haul the buckets.
