Hello my fellow YouTube Scrapbooking Friends! I have a new mini book to share. This mini scrapbook album contains pages constructed from 6"x9" envelopes and a unique flip-flop insert. It is entitled "Nostalgia". It was inspired by an afternoon reminiscing with my husband over a box of old photos. The papers come from The Paper Studio "Faith" collection, K&Company "Life's Journey" collection and My Mind's Eye "Simply Delightful" collection. Metal embellishments are from the Tim Holtz idea-ology line, flowers are from Prima Flowers. The distressing was done with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in the "tea dye" color. Thank you to all my subscribers, your support has inspired this 4 part series and I am developing a blog to share patterns and ideas. When life gives you scraps, make something beautiful! • Fantastic Scrapbook, really love the FlipFlop Inserts!! (:

It took me a while to figure out how they work. I've been googling and found an example of a printed card. Then i tried to figure it out using some square note-its.

  • @RicoMaureen I filmed all the parts as I made the album. I have the tutorial for the flip-flop going up this weekend, it is in part 3. I just haven't had time to upload parts 2, 3, and 4. Coming soon for those who like a visual. Thanks!

  • Your book came out fantastic!! What a great idea!! Thanks for sharing!!

  • My short discription:

You only need 2 squares and divide them both in half ending up with 4 pieces of 1:2.

score at 1/4 and 3/4 of the length. 2 more small scorelines from the sides so you end up with -| |- on all of them. Fold 2 of them on the 1/4 and 3/4 lines and place them next to each other.

    CD GH

Put Glue on A and F and put the 3th piece on there. Half of this paper is sticking out on top. Also put glue on C and H and put the last piece on there. Start folding and flipping

  • Fantastic work!! Can't wait to see the tutorial! I want to make one too!
