I had the pleasure of seeing the AMS control centre earlier this week. Indeed it actually uses a permanent magnet.

How do you know that?! There are already medical applications of using anti-matter. Who can say what will happen!

Yeah its funded by other countrys too because they belive they will get something good in return wich of course they wont

This is great, however the data in the video is out of date. Some of the aspects of the AMS are now altered, such as the super cooling systems being replaced. However the goals are obviously the same.
