Hand paralysis can make it difficult to pick items up easily. While there are accessible containers out there the selection is limited. By modifying your own items you will have a lot more options. Often adaptations can look "handicapped." In this video I show how to make boxes and other containers accessible while still keeping them attractive. I demonstrate the Crop-A-Dile and show how it can be used to make various items accessible. I also show some items I found along the way that are already accessible.

  • Like, even though your spine is hosed, you are very adept at strew reduction. Although you showed quite a few container modifications, you didn't really do an effective in-depth demo of the actual container-modification procedure. You go, girl!

  • great imbonnie !! I( like you very much !! you so very good girl !! ciao !! 2 december 10

  • Here is a little tip if you get anoyed looking at that coin you droped a week ago and can't get down there to pick it up . Well I keep a garden ho its great for sliding under small things that lay flat on the floor.and it has a nice long handle .

  • COULDN'T FIT COMMENT IN FIRST ONE.

I have a new wheelchair access apartment and its not easy to access which drives me nuts, so I don't do much for myself. If something is like the size good for my hand I don't need a handle, but I drop stuff to often.

  • I am in a wheelchair and can't pick thing up as will either, I don't usually put handles on most of the stuff because my ability to move is not the same as yours, I have to use large handles on my spoons and stuff like that, and I most of the time I have a care taker who does stuff for me plus I can't control my arm movement so you get what I'm saying, plus I am legally blind and I need assistance moving in wheelchair.
