I'm usually upset with the videos of Tragically Hip covers on youtube. I really enjoyed this cover. I can really tell that you guys are dedicated to your band and getting your notes dead on. You did a great job, keep up the good work.
good video, but why would you have lots of gain for the lead/rhythm guitarist. thats not how the song sounds. that is why it sounds like crap and you cannot here anything, BARELY!! learn how to play like normal style, not heavy metal if your going to play this kind of music. its a good pointer for next time you guys play!!
nice cover. big fan of the hip, few suggestions coming from a fellow drummer and guitarist: bass drum is little over powering. get a dampening pad, or put a blanket in it sounds a little hollow, invest in a 10 chan mixer to match your sound levels, it make a huge difference and it will make u sound better. theirs a reason professionals use them. check kijiji.
hey that my school :D

"like normal style" wouldn't make it their cover"
As Gord would say - "this ones for the music lovers! We got any music lovers here tonight?"

Maybe you could post an example of you performing the song to show them how it's done...

Good call.
Even stuffing a small pillow in will make the bass less boomy
(is that even a word?)
The gel is great for damping too.
Levels make a significant difference in the overall impression.
