@transdrole The SPH-390TC are indeed low Q drivers. I'd certainly be intending to use compensation/EQ with them, being active already it wouldn't be a big stretch. I have seen great results with these drivers in W-frames. For an alternative that won't require EQ, the Eminence Alpha 15A is popular.
Excellent vid, though It'd be good to hear it from a bit further back too. Really clean, tight sound! I've experimented with dipoles (W-Profile) and was very impressed! Enough so that I'll be building a pair of them for my system (when I have space!) incorporating Monacor SPH-390TC most likely, 4 15" drivers total!
@transdrole If you have enough money try the Fostex FW800N. Q=0,69 dia=31,5 inch ;-)

Yea, SPL would rise, but the sound is more open on baffle if the element is right kind.
