  • This is a must see movie. The title does not do it justice at all. It is not a cheesy 50s B movie, it is a really well written psychological thriller way superior to Hitchcock. The subliminal messages are a hoot, we are still trying to decide whether they were all in the original or not! But, this movie is a real gem and both my girlfriend and myself would recommend it to absolutely everyone. It should have been a classic. It is a classic.

  • @DeanFirefly Couldn't agree more .. absolutley thrilling from start to finish! Excellent movie!

  • i think this movie really established a trend in modern day psychological-thrillers

  • Looks a bit like the Screaming Skull.

  • Two dead bodys in the house and they just clean and go. no reporting to police or anything. nice

  • @dieTreibendeKraft

There are faces flashing in the whole movie! It's just they are more discreet as the time goes by.

  • Anybody noticed the hidden frames with scary images?!!!

  • Not gonna lie, I found this out 6 years ago due to this song by Evanescence 'Understanding' all I know is that what the therapist tells the woman in the very beginning gave me chills. It's some type of wisdom I'm hoping to hear in my lifetime before kicking the bucket! :/ Awesome movie, I wished horror films were still like this rather than a grade porn with famous 'actors' ;(

  • @alexbuhu Thanks, you know a lot about this. What do you think about this movie.

  • @Shanorni Psychorama (or "The Precon Process") is the act of communicating subliminal information through film by flashing images on the screen so quickly that they cannot be perceived by the conscious mind. Terror in the Haunted House marked Hollywood's first attempt to make use of this technique. At different points in this film, a skull is flashed to inspire terror, a snake to inspire hate, two hearts to inspire love, and large letters spelling out "blood" to create fear.
