Good for you, Jason, to call Governor Huntsman down on global warming!!! That was a courageous statement to make in the face of diehard Utah delegates. Your arousing speech won us over that day (I was a state delegate, as well), and sent your 3rd district opposition into a tailspin. Leavitt and Cannon unethically tried to ambush delegate votes and support after they saw the rapid turnaround in the convention after Jason's speech. It was an inspirational moment I will never forget.

No, he's an intelligent conservative.. Not a neo-conservative as far as I can tell. He beat cannon in his district spending like 1/6th what cannon did. Had unpaid staff, the way it should be. Smart to do it the old fashioned way. And he won by the best margin in Utah out of all the representatives. There is reason behind that.

Chaffetz is right on! He plainly states his position on issues. He plainly tells us what he will do in a given situation. I have made the effort to get to know him -- to read what he posts on his website, to listen to his speeches -- he's real. Anything he has said or done -- even those things that his opponents have criticized -- have been purely issue related.
