Here is a 3 year old growing field for production of native grass seed at Fourth Corner Nurseries near Bellingham, Washington. The plant is Festuca roemeri or a type of native bunchgrass found in prairie habitats of western Washington, USA. In time vegetation chokes the grass plants and a spring burning is practiced here as in this demonstration. Total burn was completed in about 1 hour and rains will wash in the nutrients tonight.

  • Well drained sandy loam here. Nice video but not in context of burning grass seed field.
