@lozzles Completely agree. Look at how bare these cars are....major lack of sponsors. American open wheel racing is on a slow but steady climb.

Its funny reading the comments here now. Champcar is dead and the Indycar series is starting to thrive with fields of 25-28 cars next year and a title sponser.

yeah but soon after that so will the irl so i hope you like nascar because if you want to see champ car die the irl will be right behind it it might take 10 years but both series dont have a chance if they follow your advice.

Are you chumpcar fanboys excited about the race in december? HAHAHA!! What... There won't be a race.. CASE CLOSED. CHAMPCAR OWNERS ARE STUPID AND CAN'T MAKE ANY DECENT DECISIONS and that will cause them not to have a 2009 racing future.
They do need to unite, but since that won't happen. The next best thing would be for ChampCar to go BYE BYE!

its because of tony that both series are geting eaten alive by nascar if any one was smart they would reunite the two series before all the drivers are racing in a stock car.

CART is no longer around. Tony George knows how "awful" ChampCar is doing. He is the smart one trying to bring back some great and exciting road course racing to the Open Wheel cars because obviously ChampCar can't deliver, heck they can't even make big decisions when the time comes.

Too bad Tony George had to ruin American Open Wheel Racing. It's funny how much of a hypocrite the guy is. Wasn't the IRL supposed to be an American based oval series? Pretty sure they go out of the country now and race road courses. Sounds like a poor attempt at copying CART. Dumbass.

WOW! St. Pete's race this year was way more exciting. ChampCar is in deep trouble, because the IRL can do OVAL AND ROAD RACING NOW in Great Fashion!
