@downundergroundman I didn't fucking say the Cure was emo, now did I? If I come off irritated it's because I am. Read everything I said. They were LABELED as "emo." Personally, I don't put genres on music, because I am a self-professed music enthusiast, and I classify everything as simply music. I dislike genres, because they create stupid arguments like the one you're trying to pull.

@ShaenWilliam Don't mean to be rude, but you have no idea what you're talking about. The Cure has nothing to do with emo and was never labelled as such. Emo was short for emotional hardcore and was born out of the hardcore punk scene e.g. Rites of Spring. The Cure is a post-punk/alternative band and have been playing that since the time hardcore punk even came about.

@PassTheFlask07 I just discovered this band last December when I was 17. I think something about the winter coming made me remember this band because it's when I first heard them, and even being my age and discovering them I feel the same way. This band will forever have a special place in my heart, one that I'll re-visist years from now even.

Bands like the get up kids I grew up listening to, I will never forget. The Get up kids will always have a special place in my heart. From an old school Get up Kids fan. Now that's a really good band, in my opinion.
