We are told about God.
The loving God of the Bible.
We are told God is love.
God is peace.
God is compassionate.
Well, let's see what the Bible has to say about that.

  • I can understand what you are saying. However, these laws are Mosaic Laws. These laws were written to show the people that they were indeed sinners. The Lord always said that the wages of sin is death. The birth, death, and resurrection did away with Mosaic Law. Jesus fulfilled the law therefore we are no longer slaves to it. Yes, God is love. He love us so much to let His son die for us so that we will not be slaves to that law.

  • @natafine "The Lord always said that the wages of sin is death"

He could always change this law, right? Or are there things your god cannot do?

  • "If He does not exist how then can He be judged?" Harry Potter doesn't exist, yet while we read about him in books we judge him all the time. The fact is that the deluded people who've believed in your fictional deity have done a lot of evil things in his name. I say if you want to worship a fictional character, then fine. But at least choose one that isn't credited with doing SO MUCH EVIL. It's like rooting for Voldemort. Why not root for Harry? Or better yet, realize it's just a book.

Stealing from an infinite being is the most trivial "crime" imaginable.

If I steal God's TV, he'll just magic a new one into existence at absolutely no effort or cost to himself.

  • philippine christians, is this your god?! wake up! stop being naive and be a slave to your feel good god. read your bible religiously, dont bypass these disgusting passages.

  • Is this the pinnacle of morality? The point is that the ones being punished are the immoral ones. God is a God of justice as well as love, and the Mosaic law was severe in the punishments prescribed in order to reflect the seriousness of sin. When Jesus took our punishment upon Him, the law was not done away, but it was changed, and one of those changes was the abolition of capital punishment so that we might see God's grace after seeing the seriousness of sin. • @natafine Paul called the law holy and just and good. in Romans 3:31 Paul said we should establish the law. Breaking the law is what sin is. Sin brings a curse, thus the curse of the law because the curse is breaking the law which is sin. Christ freed us from the law. This means we are now under grace through Jesus. The Father always had grace tho. If we sin we have an advocate with the Father now, Jesus. We must strive to keep the law if we do not want to sin. Thank God we have grace with Jesus

  • PRAISE GOD WHAT A BETTER WORLD IT WOULD BE IF WE DID ALL THIS

  • @askegg

Well I can think of one thing this god can't do and that is to put in an appearance to explain his ideas and philosophy.

But I suppose he doesn't have to because he can always rely on liars and fools to do that for him.

  • The law was written 1000’s of years before the Bible, look at ancient Egypt and the laws of “Maat”!

  • You need to learn about which laws have been fulfilled (pre-Promised Land) and which laws are current (the Ten Commandments).

  • Deuteronomy 23:1 "A man with crushed or severed genitals may not enter the assembly of the Lord"

....... wtf god!? I'm sure nobody willingly severs or crushes their genitals! That is a bit of an unfair law as well....
