Channel 5 held their first ever Big Brother auditions in Manchester with around 500 hopefuls turning out for the show. The series ran for ten years on Channel 4, before being axed last summer. Five intend to resurrect the format this August. A spokesman for the show insisted that they were happy with the turnout at Old Trafford football ground saying: "We are already on target to go beyond last year's figures for the open auditions, and this is in addition to nearly 10,000 applications that have been submitted online. There is a standard Old Trafford queuing area set up outside the stadium in accordance with the usual health and safety policies. Due to the vast size of the stadium, the public were invited to queue within the building to make the process as comfortable as possible for everyone attending the auditions."
This is why I never tell my mates that I watch BB. Fucking embarassing.
