Mark Ryden, é um grande artista norte-americano, reconhecido mundialmente. Desenhos e pinturas um tanto insanas, só que de uma qualidade impressionante e que fazem um estilo dócil e ao mesmo tempo fúnebre, quadros 'infanto-sinistros' digamos assim. O trabalho de Ryden combina um pouco de cartoon, com figuras melancólicas que expressam uma sensibilidade incrivel. Seu trabalho varia de trabalhos com óleo a trabalhos black-and-white no papel.
Ah! Ryden já estampou discos de várias bandas famosas também como Red Hot e Stones... É admirado e idolatrado pela cena mais "underground", graças a sua incrivel arte, algo inovador, estiloso e inimitavel, sem dúvida é fascinante. '-' Acho que todos deveriam apreciá-lo, haha. Quando olhamos o trabalho dele, é inevitável acabarmos refletindo devido a uma fascinação surrealista, com as nossas próprias recordações subconscientes e coletivas. Acho que Ryden passa por cima das estratégias surrealistas iniciais, escolhendo assuntos carregados com conotação cultural consciente. he was sexually and physically abused by an aunt as a child who permanatly disfigured his left hand, since he was left handed he had to learn to draw and paint with his weak right hand, probably why his art is so dark

this guys artworks, are possibly a reflection of a trumatic childhood? don't get me wrong, there good but there quite dark.
