The Story of Mitchell Jessen & Associates: How a Team of Psychologists in Spokane, WA, Helped Develop the CIA's Torture Techniques
We broadcast from Spokane, Washington, less than three miles from the headquarters of a secretive CIA contractor that played a key role in developing the Bush administrations interrogation methods. The firm, Mitchell Jessen & Associates, is named after the two military psychologists who founded the company, James Mitchell and Bruce Jessen. Beginning in 2002, the CIA hired the psychologists to train interrogators in brutal techniques, including waterboarding, sleep deprivation and pain. We speak with three journalists who have closely followed the story. [includes rush transcript]
And BTW, it doesn't matter how far away those guys' firm was from the news station; that's just irrelevant. Other than that useless detail and an arguement with a paper foundation, good job keeping neutral on such a touchy subject. p.s. I'm not affiliated with any political parties so stereotyping mother fuckers can go ride a pineapple.

There's a reason why waterboarding was invented by psychologists, and that is because it's psychological torture, not physical. The average detainee being "tortured" isn't just your average Achmed the camel farmer, he's a suspect; someone already caught redhanded doing something of violent, dangerous nature, or plotting to do so.

Dumping a little water on someone's face to get some valueable information is nothing compared to what radicals of any creed, race, or religion are willing to do and have done to get their intel.
