  • when to forward the CS prop?: when you RPM begin to decrease as you pull back on the throttle reducing the manifold pressure .eventually RPM will decrease this is the very moment you reduce pitch (forward the CS prop) since its not producing enough thrust at this stage

  • Is there a part 2 coming out? Part 1 (this one) was an involved discussion about the relationship between manifold pressure and rpm. I didn't catch anything about prop speed, prop pitch, or really anything about the propeller at all...

  • This was a great description. I did all my private training in a fixed pitch Cessna and my instructor never got around to talking about C/S Props. This helped a lot.
