@500mgB12 Really? You're worried about the atheists and agnostics. They're not the ones approaching your kid in the school yard. If a Baptist pastor is allowed on school property to pray with children, you can bet your bottom dollar that lots of other people from all types of religious groups will be more than ready to have their day in court if you try to stop them doing the same. And they'll win.

He has no right, on public property at a public school, to do this. These are little kids who see adults as himself as an authority and would as such feel they must join in. It might be different if this was a high school where the kids would not feel so compelled. Religion belongs at home and church and he has no right to inflict his brand of theism on children of different faiths or no faith.

really? that's what you're going with? children are born atheists. they are born with no knowledge of any kind. children (yours included) are indoctrinated from childhood to believe in some of the stupidest things humanly imaginable. like christianity. or islam. or scientology. all pretty much the same load of crap.

children cannot be manipulated into their default position.

@ThirdRAILKink - children are held hostage by their own parents, by their schools, law enforcement, courts, attorneys, CPS/DCS/DFCS...so get rid of all those too. You can't have your cake and everyone elses too.

@ThirdRAILKink "Stupid" the educated womans word of choice. Look, you can force your children not to participate but don't tell my child what to do. Take down the flag. Why are we standing in front of a flag? Take away the text books...they are not teaching what I want my children to learn. Get the message yet? Neither you nor your children are required to stand there. But just don't call on God when you're in trouble either. That would be a Christian thing to do.
