NGTE was the principle location in the UK for design and development of gas turbine and jet engines. It was created by merging the design teams of Frank Whittle's Power Jets and the RAE turbine development.

In 2000 the NGTE Pyestock site closed and is currently not in use, but it is subject to a planning enquiry into whether the site is converted into a massive transport logistics depot.

  • ive just visited this place and thought it was awsome, an adult playground.

  • @biggdaddy2001 It's abandoned because it is old technology nowadays, just as a tape cassette and vhs video stuff from back in the day are.

  • @Zoza15, Not wise really but I have been here too many times to remember, alone, in groups, at night alone is best though as you get the added buzz of avoiding the Polish metal thieves, you don't want to get your camera kit taken at the least by these low lifes.

  • Is it wise to walk all alone in these abandoned houses and facilities?.

  • why are these places built then abandoned

  • This has to be one of my favourite videos, you are a gifted photographer no doubt about it!

  • looks like a great site!
