Literally my go to move from the mount. so simple to just pin someones arm to the matt and thread my lanky legg through the opening

...maybe the fact that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was created specifically FOR the ability to street fight? Gracie created the UFC so there would be legit fight competitions that aren't point-based. BJJ was never intended just for sport, it was designed for superior self defense, UNLIKE soccer.

@elliotb92 it takes some finesse for sure... this video was one of the earlier attempts but I use this frequently now and much more smoothly than what you see above... also I recently saw this successfully done to finish a UFC fight (UFC124 - Vocek vs Hazelett).

very untidy jiu jitsu it looked to me that neither had great technique in what they were trying to do and the guy looked to gave it to him... you have to be more clever about it... they looked liked white belts... no disrespect by the way, i love bjj and respect anyone that does it...

TarZan - I'm not sure I get your point... there were no claims that these guys were experts -- just students of bjj. Truth is that both were in the beginning stages of training when this video was made. It demonstrated a technique that was seemingly rarely used at the time - which was actually a few years before its actual posting.
