AT&T Phones (1987 commercial)

Prepare to laugh at how antequated this is - in light of how advanced and prominent today's cell phones are, not only is advertising a non-cordless phone today useless enough, but even landlines in general don't get advertised no more.

I sure did laugh! AT&T/Western Electric was really proud of those corded phones. No they never broke, they just became obsolete. (Except you really them in a blackout...).
