Thumbs up if you find watching people do this extremely relaxing.

Thanks, Dan. You make it look so easy. That is the skill of a good craftsman.

Maybe take your videos to the next level? Best I can tell they seem to be all dealing with taking clay from the raw stage and through the actual throwing with some greenware decoration (piercing) in some of the videos. Maybe Glazing and firing?

when i try to pull things in, sometimes i put too much force on the bottom of my hands and smush down the bottom part of the pot, and feel really stupid. so instead i make a slightly taller/narrower cylinder and use a spoon to push out on the side to make a buldge. tehehe

you pull up the walls so beautifly i can never do that with so much grace

Just wanted to let you know that you have single-handedly inspired me to minor in sculpture (with a concentration in ceramics). Though I think you may be making it look easier than it actually is. Thank you so much!

Hey Dan, I'm not even a potter... in fact, I'm 16 years old, but I LOVE watching your videos. Pottery has always intrigued me... keep up the amazing work :)

@wirehunter86 Its not the speed, i have tried that multiple times, if i slow it down any more than its going to be stationary at that point.i think i figured out my problem though.

@TheDraindeimo I am not Dan, but I would suggest slowing your wheel down, b/c the force of the spinning is going to "swing" the clay outward.
Dan i have been watching your videos for about half a year now, i have come across a problem that i need your help with. Once i start throwing taller pots, my only problem seems to be that the top always flares our alot, eventually making it impossible for me to close. I would love it if your responded, i cant find help for this anywhere and your the best potter i have seen. Thanks.

@TheDraindeimo I would suggest too a slower speed when it gets taller to reduce the centrefugal force and also keep collaring in periodically and try to make the top narrower than the base before you lift to overcome the flaring.
Cheers,Dan.
