New Hope Lutheran Church Fire - Clinton, Iowa

New Hope Lutheran Church located at 401 N. 4th Street in Clinton, Iowa. The fire started sometime shortly after 9pm on 01.10.09. The video was originally 40 minutes long, but I had to edit it to be under max. length for YouTube. Anywayz, I was about to head out the door to go celebrate my 29th birthday when I heard on the scanner that the Clinton Fire Department was being dispatched to a church fire near my home, which was 2 blocks away from me. I got there as soon as I could which was just a couple minutes after the Fire Department got there and I took some photos and then this video. By the way, I was freezing while recording this & I left in a hurry without putting on my coat...lol! That's why I couldn't keep the camera still. :-P

My dad and I went by there the night this happened. The sky all over clinton was tinted with orange and red hues. My mother worked for this church as an organist for a long time. What a shame.

As for you jerks and dip-sticks on here who all you can think about is hatin' on us christians, at least appreciate how this church helped with jobs and it's former beauty. I hope God blesses you, even though you can't control your mouth (or keyboard). Don't comment like stupid five year olds.

This church was not only an amazing architectural structure but the livelihood of many families, and the home of a congregation who loved the lord. Keep you retarded, rude, nasty comments to yourself. I went to this church for a while, and all the people there were HEARTBROKEN when this happens. IF you think that's awesome then I hope your house burns down, wouldnt that be nice?
