  • I cant find this tent on reis website anymore. Did they stop selling it?

  • @latinkulta They may have taken it off the market. It has been over 2 years since I posted this video. Designs change.

  • After I set it up, there was a small 6 inch orange tube left over. What is this for? Also, do I need to water proof the seams?

Thanks so much for all of your help!

  • @marionette912 - yeah I had the same tube. Based on the directions (from my memory) it is just extra. And no you do not need to water proof the seams.

  • Thanks so much for posting this. After stuggling several times, I found your video and set it up in less than a minute!

    A few tips for others:

1 - stake the tent first 2 - lay the poles on the tent, (you can kinda see how they go in his video) 3 - do the silver poles first, then orange. 4- do the two short orange poles, 5 do all the clips.

Very easy! And yes one person can do it. I'm a tiny 40 year old woman who never put up a tent before and I did it.

  • @marionette912 - glad it was helpful. Happy hiking/camping!

  • Nice tent! When rolling up your doors to the fly you should roll it inwards not outwards. This helps to keep rain water out of the rolled up door.

  • the orange liitle tube is a repair tube , say your on the trail and your tent pole snaps slide that tube over the break and your good to go . easy fix while on the trail

  • @Garsono Thanks for the reply!

  • @marionette912

That's a repair tube. if you have a pole break or crack, slip the tube onto the pole over the crack and tape it down. It's not a permanent fix, but it will get you out of the woods.

  • Good video. Thanks. I am looking at getting either this tent or the REI Half Dome. They look like good sturdy tents and not too heavy. Anthony.

  • @marionette912 Extra orange tube is for pole repair if needed just slip it over damaged section of pole for an easy temporary fix. Hope this helps : )
