Holy smokes! She's playin banjo on a nylon string guitar! With Old Jack on bass, Molly on the fiddle, and Sarah the Younger on mandolin. All in her own two hands! Flang dangit, she's good! My socks caught on fire at about 1:30, and I had to stamp em out. Oh, Muriel,
I am slain by your smile...

Let me guess...you are still feeling the after effects of a bad trip you had 20 years ago?
"Low ratings"....meaning one of the most respected players in the world?
Curious.
Is this the same Muriel Anderson from the Wild Wood Pickers? If so, she has a heck of a voice too. I saw her at the Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival in the late 70's, early 80's. Wonderful rendition of Shady Grove. I wish I still had that LP.
It was Muriel on guitar and vocals,Momma Corey on Bass, a young lady named Kim on banjo (J D Crowe was trying to by it from her all week) and Tom Rey on fiddle.

Yes, that's the same Muriel from Wildwood Pickers. One of my friends just showed me an old photo with the young Muriel playing a Martin D35? with others 4. A tall girl played a very nice banjo with beautiful inlay (Kim's banjo?) and a girl on fiddle.
