This is the first of four short films where the U.S. Embassy Denmark mascot Teddy shows his Danish friend EMU the inside of the embassy. During the four films the visit both known and not so known sections of the embassy. This film is directed at Danish schoolkids aged 9-12 and can be used as a teaching tool in English or as an educational past time. In this film Teddy and EMU enter the embassy, EMU gets a visitor's badge from a US Marine at Post 1. They then visit the Consular Section, the Commercial Section, the Public Affairs Section and last but not least the Executive Office where EMU gets to meet the Deputy Chief of Mission and the U.S. Ambassador to Denmark, Laurie S. Fulton. If you're curious to learn more about what goes on inside the US Embassy in Copenhagen, check out the film, even if you're not between 9 and 12! Also check out our new website for schoolkids off all ages, http://emu.dk.usvpp.gov . It's a work in progress but if you're interested in learning or teaching about the US you should take a look at it. The next three films will be made available in early 2010.
As always, if you have any questions or comments let us know.
