Totally agree. Most of these movies were really meant to be seen with people in a movie theatre. When I experienced that in 1979, the theater was packed!! By word of mouth, "Hey check this movie out, these guys are hysterical" The script and movie sold itself, as did the performances. No over the top stunts or computer gimmicks. The remake sucks, no real affection between the characters, and script is not as good. Pure laughs. "Gone Fishin' " is a similar kind of thing (Joe Pesci - sp).

the first time I saw this movie I couldn't stop laughing. It is simply one of the greatest funniest movies ever made. Alan Arkin and Peter Faulk are awsome.
