The sixers actually did bring him back as a special guest for MJ's final game in Philly. He did his introduction for Michael like he always did with the bulls in Philadelphia and it got a huge ovation from the Philly crowd.
-
Ray Clay the announcer...got fired after this mostly because Bulls managment wanted him to introduce Jordan as he would any other opposing player....which he refused.
-
Lol Lebron didn't get that haha....
-
@JordanSanders1991 uh I already knew that. @Waynefanablenew suggested that Stacey King be the PA. And I agreed, it would be neat to hear him do the introductions.
-
uh Stacy King is the Color Commentator on WGN
the PA Announcer in this is Steve Scott who was then replaced by the legendary Tommy Edwards who is the PA Guy since. Edwards was the voice of the Chicago Stadium from 1979-1990 then Clay from 1990-2001, Scott from 2002-2005, Edwards 2006-present again

I CRIED

lol i bet the lakers won that game at the start

@Waynefanablenew from what I heard he got fired for supposedly cutting the standing ovation for MJ short. Regardless couldn't agree with you more on making Stacey King the PA.

@BMag4ever Clay actually got fired for introducing Jordan in this manner it really sucks. Tommy Edwards as pa is so boring he should be fired lol stacey king would be a better pa than edwards.
i think in this world only mj deserved to be introduced in that manner. he really gave alot to the city of chicago during his tenure with the bulls and i think ray did the right thing in introducing mj like that. personally, if he got a regular introduction in this very stadium, a majority of the crowd would've been very pissed off. give the man his credits and accomplishments for the team.
