Sorairo Days from Gurren Lagann, english lyrics by geekyfandubs and vocals by me. :)

I have always adored Gurren Lagann's opening theme -- it's so infectious and its driving beat and melody fit the series so well!! I had intended on writing my own english lyrics for it, but I recently found these lyrics from geekyfabdubs, and I absolutely fell in love with them. She captured the feeling of this song so well and stayed pretty faithful to the original version, which is rare! She's the real artist here -- listen to her version, too! ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4f7np2sGMY ) In recording this I tried to make my vocal tone a bit "brighter" sounding, if that makes sense, to fit the energetic style of anime vocals. Hmmm, so your weakness shows, eh? =P I'll be blunt: You kept your voice in your comfort zone here. Not in pitch, but in volume. Songs like this require a lot of power behind the singing to really make it work, and it seems that you're hesitant (or didn't think) to try that. Your singing here is quiet for the song, sung in a style too similar to your quieter songs. This is an older post though, so perhaps you've improved upon this since? Keep it up! =)

@SabreMage the pitch does need work as well ,but the volume is an issue that is much bigger. i am a musician myself and i know that this is true even on an instrument. some songs need to be played more "forcefully" than others and this is one of those songs.
